How can I get an ideal percentage of calories from carbs/protein/fats for weight loss as a vegan?

I am currently on 1200 calories a day. I seem to hit an average of 65% of calories from carbs (lots of veggies, some pasta and rice, cereal) , 20% protein (kidney beans or chickpeas, miso soup and tofu) and 15% fats (cashew nuts, pumpkin seeds)

My first question: is this okay for weight loss? I want to lose around 17lbs. I’m working on exercising more, I have an active job which keeps me on my feet but I’m looking to start working out soon. I’m concerned that this diet is too high in carbs and too low in protein for weight loss, and that my body is just going to hang on to those carbs.

Second question: if I need to cut down my carbs and eat more protein, how can I do this on a vegan diet? I’m already eating what feels like so many beans but I still can only achieve around 20% daily!

Please, only answer if you know what you’re talking about and please don’t be tempted to tell me not to be vegan, no matter how stupid or unhealthy you think it is. It will just fall on deaf ears.
