eat half servings instead of whole servings of food and workout 30 minutes a day.

Sit ups are the HARD way. You can also walk/run/dance and it burns TONS more calories than sit ups. The more you move, the more you make muscle, and muscle burns calories 24/7…so start slow so you don’t end up in pain and discouraged…baby steps, literally, then slowly increase your exercise until you can do more and more. Moving is the only way to do it. The stars who love to eat will tell you they work out because they have to eat so much at fancy parties, etc. Best of luck, it’s one of the hardest, but most rewarding things to do. Just plan to lose 1 pound at a time, so you can celebrate each 1 pound goal, instead of beating yourself up if you didn’t quite lose 20 pounds.

you’ll never lose weight by eating unhealthy!
those commercials that tell you to eat w/e you want and still lose weight aren’t true.
exercise man! work out. do tons of cardio. tons of water. careful with snaking.
and talk to your mom… tell her you feel fat… maybe to cook healthier lighter food.

Are you saying your mom is a bad cook? Just tell her you want a healthier diet, no fried stuff, or you can just eat protein, veggies, fruit. Wouldn’t she want you to eat healthy? You don’t have to tell her you are dieting, go walking for 30 minutes 3-4 times / week, maybe mom will go with you.

:-( I'm sure you look fine. You don't sound like you're "overweight" to me…..If you want to lose a little weight, it's always good to do it in a fun way. You don't have to not eat your mom's cooking. You shouldn't even worry about that type of thing. I say, just try to be more active. Play sports with the other kids or do some other active things while you're in gym. You'll burn a lot of calories and it will be fun. Plus, it's something that's easy for a person your age to do. You don't have to do so many crunches everynight either. You can just do a few 2 nights out of the week. That's really more than enough. You don't need to over-do it.

P.S: You don't have to only eat half-servings of food like that other person said.. You're too young to do things like that because you're still growing a lot. Just add fruits and vegetables to your lunch at school.

When your mom cooks dinner, try to eat more protein and vegetables and fruit and less carbs such as pasta and bread. Also, try to eat heavier for breakfast and lunch and you won’t overeat later in the day. Eating a healthy dinner won’t make you heavy. You don’t have to go on a diet. They don’t work. Good eating habits work and you will lose weight. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper and you will lose weight. God bless you.
