I'm 14 years old. 5'1 and 146 pounds. I know that I'm far over weight. But I have a really important event coming this weekend and I really want to at least look skinny. Everyone lies and says I'm not fat but I think that I am. How do I achieve this for this weekend? please help!

    you cant loose very much weight in a week you should have started preparing earlier, get a more realistic goal and prepare for that instead.

    its too late to lose that much weight. You need to plan better. You can: drink lots of water, that helps get rid of the bloating. But don't over do it because you can actually over hydrate and cause some problems or cause kidneys to shut down cause they can't keep up with the overload. Cut out the soda and junk food for a few days. Exercise and eat healthy, you know – fruits, veggies, and cut out the red meat. That will help you some but your not going to drop a ton of weight.

    I do zumba and love it. it is helping me a lot. Its like a dance exercise.

okay I been wanting to try to lose weight since i had my daughter, But i don't want to try no diet pills i'm scaried if it makes me gain more, i have done walking and trim mill and watch what i eat too, my main parts is my tummy I'm trying to get it flatter,and my thighs, I have a big butt and i don't fit in to pants..     30 in a month is not healthy IF possible. I wouldn't advise to something that drastic…maybe 10-15 in a month with a good diet and exercise. don't use any crazy crash diet, the result wont last and it could be very bad for you.

    You don't and can't. You didn't put it on fast, so why should it come off fast? Safe weight loss is 2 lbs per week. So, figure out how much you need to loose, and do the math. Plus add four weeks for your body to adjust to it's new caloric intake.

    burn off more than you eat so run about 5 miles a day and it will burn off aslong as you have a healthy diet and dont over eat

My mom is convinced I am fat, and it normally gets me mad cuz I actually like my body for the most part and I am 5'4 and 115.4 pounds so if I lose 10 pounds my moms gonna let me get my belly button pierced which I am super happy about. ANYWAYS how can I lose this weight as fast as possible? Any tips/advice? :D THNKS!

    You are at a very good weight, but if you desperately need to, just drink plenty of water, eat portioned controlled meals, and exercise.

    You're not fat, you're the ideal weight for your height. Parents are like that sometimes, you just need to learn that you know better than them.

    Don't lose weight fast, it doesn't last, you'll put it back on and then some.

    Healthy weight loss takes time, that way it stays off. Modify your current diet, don't go on a diet. Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables, eat less fast food, soda, that kind of thing.

    Get more exercise, go for walks. Normal stuff, don't overdo it.

    go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans.

    This doesn't sound very healthy to me. You definately do not need to lose weight. I would suggest maybe instead of losing weight to maybe start working out instead. You will have a leaner body composition but you won't lose any weight. You will have a better body and still be healthy. If you choose not to go through with it there is no quick way to loose weight and keep it off. If you want to trick your mom though look into the cabbage soup diet or the lemonade diet as they will help you drop alot in a short period of time but as soon as you stop the diet you gain it back so just get the belly button piercing before you stop the diet :-)

    Here are a few tips:

    1. You MUST exercise if you want to lose weight and keep it off, so do something every day, even if it’s just a 15-minute walk around the neighborhood. Don’t say you don’t have time for exercise; you have to MAKE time. Yes, it takes time and effort, but you’re worth it, right?

    2. Walk as much as you want, but don’t do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time. If you do, you risk burning muscle instead of fat. Walking is the preferred exercise for weight (READ: FAT) loss because it burns fat almost exclusively and it burns almost as many calories per hour as jogging. You can also breathe much easier while walking, and walking doesn’t pound the heck out of your ankles, knees, and hips like jogging does.

    3. If you do strength training, use light weights and do lots of repetitions. That’ll really help you “tone up.” If you’re at all concerned about your midsection, you’ll need to do abdominal exercises that hit all the major muscle groups (upper abs, lower abs, obliques, transverse abdominis, and back muscles) every other day. WARNING: Ab exercises burn very few calories, so don’t rely on them to burn fat. What they will do is give your gut that “sucked in” look 24/7 if you do them regularly. Google each muscle group with the word “exercises” and you’ll find websites that’ll show you exercises to work that muscle group.

    4. Your diet will make you or break you. You have probably learned bad eating habits over time (most people do). That’s not your fault, but now you have to deal with it. Make a commitment to yourself to unlearn those bad habits and re-learn better habits.

    5. Eat breakfast every day within an hour of getting up. It kick-starts your metabolism. Studies have shown that people who skip breakfast are 450% more likely to be overweight than those who eat breakfast every day.

    6. Eat six small meals or snacks per day instead of three squares per day or one big meal per day. If you eat too much at one sitting, your body stores the extra calories as fat. Go too long between meals and your metabolism slows down. Your body expends energy digesting your food, so eating smaller portions more often keeps your metabolism running high because you’re constantly digesting food.

    7. Avoid these as much as possible:

    – Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)
    – High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)
    – Fast food
    – Junk food
    – White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes
    – The deadly C’s (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)

    8. Build your diet around these trim-body-friendly foods:

    – Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)
    – Beans/Legumes
    – Fresh vegetables (green is GREAT!!!)
    – Dairy products (as long as they’re low-fat or non-fat)
    – Eggs
    – Lean meats (fish and poultry top the list)
    – Olive oil
    – Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta
    – Fresh fruits (anything that ends in “berry” is a winner)
    – Tea (green tea or black pekoe tea)
    – Cold water or ice water (your body has to expend extra calories to heat it up)

    9. Desserts and treats are the exception, not the rule. Having said that, however, (1) you can have a couple of pieces of chocolate every day – just don’t overdo, and (2) Allow yourself one “cheat meal” every week where you eat and drink whatever you want as long as you don’t gorge yourself. That’ll help keep you from feeling deprived and it’ll make it easier to stick with your new healthy eating plan.

    First of all, I think your weight is fine…but if you must loose the weight, just drink plenty of water, cut out the junk food, and start eating more veggies and fruit, also start exercising more. Also, it is not good to loose weight that quickly, it is very unhealthy for you. You can safely loose up to 2lbs per week, so I would say if you wanted to loose 10lbs, you could probably do it in about a month or so. If you loose the weight too quickly, you can end up with extra loose skin, and you will most likely gain it back just as quickly as you lost it.

    Your mom seems like a crazy, sick bitch..no mom should tell their child that, you are SKINNY…don't let her brainwash you, cuz she seems pretty twisted to say something like that to her child, especially one that is only 5'4, 115 pounds! BUT, if that is the ONLY way she will let you get your belly button pierced, and you really want it done..my advice would be, to drink lots of water, eat 3-5 SMALL meals a day. Eat vegetables that are low in sugar carbs and fruits once in a while (don't over do it on fruits though, because they are high in sugar), and then eat lean protein, like chicken & turkey, fish is also good. Don't drink any sugary drinks, and other sugary stuff, also, only eat whole grain carbs…so no white bread, or white pasta, or white anything. and then…exercise, exercise, exercise. and you will be golden! hope this helps, good luck! =)

    DON'T THROW UP. but you can try tea or cheerios. I recommend eating just a little less but enough so your not hungry. (harder than it sounds).

    First of all your mom has no understanding whatsoever of what a healthy weight should be in general. You are EXACTLY where you should be in terms of weight, especially for your height. And if you yourself are actually HAPPY with your body, you have no obligation to lose weight at all. Wait…is this all just so you can get your bellybutton pierced??? No mother should try to bribe their child into losing weight when they don't need to. Ask your mom to justify why she thinks you're fat – and if she really thinks so – have her talk to your doctor. Sheesh…

    Your not fat you are very healthy just the way you are. Your Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on your height and weight. Your completely normal it's 19.7. If you lose 10 pounds you will be underweight and that's not healthy for you. Why would your mom think that your fat I wouldn't know. Have her go on line and see your BMI and what it would be if you lost 10 pounds. If your happy with your body then don't listen to what people tell you. Even love ones sometimes say hurtful things. Believe me I know. Take care.

    first of all to clear up this first point, YOU ARE NOT FAT! ans secound, you mom is a …….(i shoulden't say it) for telling you that you are!! and you said just now that you like you body so why change it? what if you don't when you are skinnier? it happends! my friend was near perfect and she lost 12 pounds and everyone thought she was anerexic and she hated it! just tell your mom that it was not fair for her to say that when you like your body, but you want a belly button peircing! but i don't want to come here and not answer the question so, if you truly want to!,
    -run, its the best kind of exercising
    -crunches, youll loose the fat from yoor belly
    -jump ropeing! awesome exercise!
    -cut bread portions, bread is ok but to loose weight you need to only have a little
    -veggies, for snacks get stuff like carrots diped in ranch or something, its good and healthy
    -no coke or candy!, stick to water and juice
    the above is ok to do, you will lose a little weight but also be in a great healthy shape, which is much different

    you are really not fat but if you want to lose weight i advise you to drink green tea 1-3 glasses per day
    green tea speeds up your metabolism
    drink lots and lots of water 8 glasses each day.
    do not snack
    do not drink soda
    go on the half off diet only eat half of what you would usually eat and give or throw the rest away
    if you are really hungry and you've had all your daily meals snack on fruits ( oranges, apples, bananas )
    exercise more try and run for at least 30 minutes a day
    get more active
    get more sleep it prepares your body
    stretch, yes it works and it doesn't just help you lose weight it helps with you're growing to make you a little taller
    count your calories try to stay under the amount of 1300 calories per day
    change you're lifestyle it makes a difference
    do not eat candy or chips eat more greens or protein bars
    avoid fast food and cut out fried food when you cook your meal oven cook your food do not fry it
    chew gum because when you chew gum you do not pick at food for example if theres some chips in you're cupboard you go to them a think good damn they look good then you would say no i cant pick at them because i dont wanna throw my gum away
    do not eat after 6pm because before 6pm you can burn all you're food off and if you eat after six it will lay on you're stomach as you eat.
    do not eat before you go to sleep
    drink a glass of water before you go to sleep
    eat spicy food, if you can because it speeds up you're metabolism
    do not weigh you're self everyday because it torments you,weight you're self once a week ( every Monday )

    weight loss is never easy and you can lose weight fast(unless you cut off an arm!)…harsh dieting kills muscle and the results are very very temporary…the only logic approach to effective fat loss is by working out 6 days a week doing cardio and toning exercises,in addition to a healthy calorie shifted food intake pattern..stay away from fad diets but stay confident always…lose up to 4 lbs/week and you will remain healthy…god bless you…

    i eat fruits and veggies and i eat yoplait yogurt..drink gallons of water.people think this isnt helthy but i lost 1 or 2 pounds a day…crazy its probably gunna be water weight at first,and i am a crash dieter very impatient ….this isnt a crash diet but it works fast….i also snack on like crackers and excersise….do pilates or somthingg..lol GOOD LUCK!

    what you do is you eat a small breakfast within the first hour you wake up.
    then every three hours after you finish your breakfast you eat something small.

    Season with salt, pepper curry, parsley, if desired, or bouillon, hot or Worcestershire sauce. Cut veggies in small to medium pieces. Cover with water. Boil fast for 10 minutes. Reduce to simmer and continue to cook until veggies are tender.

    This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry during the week. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want. This soup will not add calories. The more you eat, the more you will lose. You may want to fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during the day.

    DRINKS:
    Unsweetened juices
    Tea (also herbal)
    Coffee
    Cranberry juice
    Skim milk
    Water, water, water

    DAY ONE
    Any fruit (except bananas). Cantaloupes and watermelon are lower in calories than most other fruits. Eat only soup and fruit today.

    DAY TWO
    All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with fresh raw, cooked or canned veggies. Try to eat green leafy veggies and stay away from dry beans, peas or corn. Eat veggies along with the soup. At dinnertime tonight reward yourself with a big baked potato and butter. Don't eat any fruits through today.

    DAY THREE
    Eat all the soup, fruit and veggies you want. Do not have a baked potato. If you have eaten as above for three days and not cheated, you should find that you have lost 5-7 pounds.

    DAY FOUR
    Bananas and skim milk: Eat at least 3 bananas and drink as much milk as you can today, along with the soup. Bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates, as is the milk but on this particular day, your body will need the potassium and carbs. Proteins and calcium to lessen the cravings for sweets.

    DAY FIVE
    Beef and tomatoes: you may have 10 to 20 ounces of beef and a can of tomatoes, or as many as 6 tomatoes on this day. Eat the soup at least once today.

    DAY SIX
    Beef and veggies eat to your heart's content of the beef and veggies today. You can even have 2-3 steaks if you like with green leafy veggies but no baked potato. Be sure to eat the soup at least once today.

    DAY SEVEN
    Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and veggies, again, be sure to stuff yourself and eat the soup. You can add cooked veggies to your rice if you wish.

    By the end of the 7th day, if you have not cheated on this diet, you should have lost 10 to 17 pounds. If you have lost more than 17 pounds, stay off the diet for two days before resuming the diet again.

    How to lose pounds of just fat is easy with these 5 or 6 simple steps. Some steps might actually make you stronger;

    Eat rice cakes and work out (run). There are all kinds of flavours of rice cakes. they are actually pretty good. i wrestle so thats what i do to lose weight. it works really good. the rice cakes are so light that its like not eating anything but your not starving yourself.

    1)The very first thing u should keep in your mind and that is the extra weight u put on didn’t come in overnight so it is not possible and also unrealistic to take it off quickly. You have to show patience.
    2)The 2nd important thing is that your body weight is controlled by the number of calories you eat and the number of calories you use each day. So, if you consume fewer calories than you burn, you will lose weight. You can do this by becoming more physically active or by eating less.
    3)The 3rd important thing is never skip ur meal or go to a crash diet. Don’t ever try to starve urself. It is very important to understand that when you skip a meal or go on a crash diet, the result is that it slows your metabolism to conserve your energy. And when you lose weight too quickly for a few days, your body thinks it is threatened with starvation and goes into survival mode. It fights to conserve your fat stores. There fore keep in mind never try to skip ur meal, especially breakfast and always try to take food on time
    4)Before starting any type of diet, weight yourself and note ur whole body measurement in a dairy. Then after every week weigh your self again and compare with earlier measurements and see how much weight u r losing. Record a goal that you can reach in one month that is 4 to 8 pounds less than you weigh now. Set a goal you know you can achieve.

    Now some tips how to set ur deit plan.
    5)Start taking your food with out any oil. Try to use boiled/steamed vegetables, meat, and lot of salad. U can eat fruits too and boiled/steamed chicken or red meat too but no pork. Please note and put it in ur mind that nothing fried or oily.
    6)Try to chew ur every food for atleast 20 times. And then swallow it into ur stomach.
    7)No Potato Please. It is strictly forbidden during this diet
    8)No Junk Food Please.
    9)Drink at least 3 ltr of water daily. Make ur habit to drink water as much as u can. Rather take a bottle of water with you all the time, when you feel starving, drink it as much as u can.
    10)Make you habit to use brown bread.
    11)use skimmed and low fat milk and yogurt

    13)First try to avoid any type of soft drink but if u really wants to taste some thing sweet then drink any soft drink (but not cola), but just one glass once in a week.

    17)one bowl of oatmeal can be taken as a break fast
    18)No hard drink of any type is allowed in this diet.
    19)Smoking strictly forbidden in this diet
    20)Watch out ur every drink and every single piece of ur food. Stay away from fatty foods, junk foods, synthetic foods, foods with preservatives and too much carbohydrate. Don’t try to take foods that are made of white flour for example white bread, cakes, pasta etc and food contain sugar such as cookies, ice cream, candy etc.
    21)Remember after every 15 days you can take once in a while with a little treat any thing u like. But remember just a small portion. For example one small personal pizza or one small burger or small pastry.
    22)Try to adopt some healthy timing. Early to rise and early to bed. No late sittings.
    23)People usually want Quick and Easy result, we all are impatient. You have to be patient in terms of your weight loss and never give up. Always keep in mind that slow and steady win the race.

    Try this, you can feel and see results in about three days. Muscle will outweigh the fat so don't let the scale discourage you :) .

    For exercise, try switching it out everyday, so your body doesn't get used to the exercise (Monday Arms, Tuesday Stomach, Wednesday Legs, Thursday Rest, Friday Arms, Saturday Stomach, Sunday Legs). Also, one the days where legs or stomach or arms come back around the second workout of the week focusing in that area, try switching the exercise out too. For arms maybe lift weights (if you have none then use cans and be sure to hold them away from you or they won't work). For stomach, you can sit on a bouncy ball and do crunches (don't hold onto your legs), for legs, maybe lay on your side propped up on your elbow and lift the top leg slowly up and down, then switch. If you are can't exercise an hour, that's fine but try increasing the time every week or so. If you are old enough to buy equiptment or go to a gym, try that. As you get further into it, maybe you can buy some equipment for mainly those three areas I listed. Also, walk home from places or on the commercial break, get up and run wall to wall.
    Also, a REALLY good workout is at youtube.com and search for 8 minute abs, 8 minute legs, 8 minute buns, and 8 minute arms. Try doing these on other days (ex.: Monday arms and workout from youtube, Tuesday legs not workout from youtube, Wednesday stomach and 8 minute abs, Thursday rest, Friday arms no 8 minute arms, Saturday no 8 minute abs, Sunday 8 minute legs. Try doing those how I listed above and don't do it more than once a day along with your daily workout.

    For food, which is very important (70% of weight loss is food intake while 30% is excercise, though both are VERY important), try this schedule.

    Breakfast:Whenever you wake up or an hour after.

    Drink of choice: One hour after breakfast (all other drinks being water.

    Lunch: 1 1/2 hours after drink of choice.

    Snack: 1 1/2 hour after lunch (or two hours after lunch).

    Dinner: 2 hours after snack.

    Try portioning your food, one cup for meals and half a cup for snacks and drink of choice. As you get more used to this, you can decrease your portion sizes.
    Also try measuring your calorie intake and try exercising over the amount of your intake to build muscle which burns access fat. You can measure that at http://www.myfitnesspal.com where it measures EVERYTHING for you :) .

    If you drink cokes and need help with that, try slowly decreasing the amount of cokes you drink, one day the usual, and decrease half of the amount of that you usually drink until it's half a cup a day.

    While your exercising, I have a problem with wanting to eat then and I'm sure everyone else does too so maybe bring a mug of ice with you and eat the ice so you get a little munch out of it and you hydrate yourself while doing no harm to yourself or your diet.

    Check your BMR and eat that amount of calories (BMR is the amount of calories that you burn daily just by breathing, sleeping, etc. so if you eat that much, you burn it plus exercise will be burning more then your intake :)

    Alot of people simply say "eat right and exercise" and they may seem like little help but that's really all it comes down to; those are the basics of every diet. There are different ways of eating right and exercising but those are just the two things it all comes down to (:

    I would recommend telling him that you dont think it will be worth it for you until you feel comfortable with your body, so you want to wait about a month in order to tone up your body. During this month you have him waiting, you should be doing intense or atleast hard muscle working workouts, because I'm sure he won't be too happy about the wait. But if he acts rude and selfish, ask him if sex is worth it when the woman isn't enjoying it. That might make him think.

    It depends on the time limit,but all I can say is that eat some fruits and grains in the morning,when it comes down to lunch eat a small salad,and finally for dinner eat some vegetables.

    Remember to watch servings only 1 each meal,and drink lots of water not soda nor juice.

    For exercise,do cardio for about an hour to an hour and thirty minutes,then do like some reps of sit-ups or dance.Just move your body through out each day and you'll burn calories.

    Start with a healthy diet – all the fast foods, junk, treats and stuff you snack on throw it all away for good…

    Once you accomplished eating healthy, know that it does take awhile to lose weight – it dosent just happend overnight when you just start. Start slowly – go for walks 15 minutes a day for a week – each week add another 5 minutes to your walk, rain/shine dress in proper clothing gear…

    Talk to your doctor about losing weight, and the proper weigh of lossing it safely for you. You do want to advise a doctor always – . Talk about taking vitimens/suppliments/and things like that for your body.

    One of my favorite ways personally – I join a auqua swim team – and swimming, water sports are the best workouts – it works all your muscles in your body. Plus swimming is fun. ..

i just turned 13 and overall im pretty skinny just my stomach is kind of fat and soon were going to the beach

    I have been on the Fletcherism diet for a little over 3 months and have lost 37 pounds. I chew eat bite 32 times and eat Lunch and supper only and have a mid afternoon snack about 3 pm. And another one at 8:30 at night. Be sure to chew eat bite at least 32 times. You will eat about 20-30 minutes and feel totally full and are eating a lot less calories by eating less food and you feel totally satisfied. Read Horace Fletcher’s book in Google books called How I Became Young at Sixty.

    Well to answer your question it would take ime but here is a workout or thing that might help :

    1)Stop eating and excercise intensely. (time consumed: about a week, maybe)

    2) Dehydrate yourself. Do not drink any water, and you can lose up to 10 pounds (time consumed: a day or two)

    3) Get lipo-suction (time consumed: idk, i guess a few hours)

    4) Cut off a limb. (time consumed: instantaneous)
